BondAdpp?tit: Milk Tea Mondays: Honey Boba

Sugar, ah, honey, honey is the theme of this week's Milk Tea Monday. ?After driving past this places several times while in Arcadia, I finally was able to sample Honey Boba. ?I went on a Saturday afternoon and boy, this place was crowded! The interior of this place is smaller in capacity for its crowd. Being that it was my first time here, I went to my default drink: almond milk tea to gauge how much I would like this place. ?In addition, I ordered their "Chicken Al Carbon" bento box.

For some reason, I received my bento box first. ?For $6.99, it was a complete meal. ?I ordered this one in particular based on the cashier's recommendation. ?All bento boxes they serve include rice, meat, steamed vegetables, an orange cup, and a pan fried egg. ?I liked the fact that they were trying to be healthy with ?their meals.

Honey Boba also serves snacks such as the boba shop staple, popcorn chicken along with fries, edamame (soybeans), and gyozas (Japanese dumplings). ?The chicken dish I ordered was flavorful and I'm glad the chicken was not dry. ?It was basically a chicken teriyaki dish. ?The steamed vegetables were decent but since it was steamed, it was rather bland. I'm betting that my food came out first because the employees were backed up on the drinks due to the immense crowd.

We finally did receive our drinks (pictured above). ?Honey Boba's cups are not the standard size milk tea cups. It was very reminiscent of another boba place called Half and Half. ?Presentation-wise, these cups are quite the novelty; however, they do not fit in car cup holders. Their almond milk tea was smooth and sweet. ?The sweetness increased sip after sip though. ?My friend's drink (pictured on the right) is their special "Frosted Signature Milky" that included chocolate, pudding, honey boba drink. ?Essentially, it is a sugar rush in a cup and was too sweet for my taste. ?I was satisfied with my drink though and will come back to try more of their menu especially since I received a stamp card for this place. ?

Service: ?Friendly cashier. ?It took some time for us to receive our drinks though. ?My bento box came out first before my drinks which is a bit odd. ?We received our drinks about five minutes after receiving my bento box. ?Not sure if this is a regular basis but must take into account that it was a hot, Saturday afternoon. ?

Price: ?Reasonable. $3-$4.50~ range. ?I feel like I did get a bang for my buck for ordering the bento box. ?They accept card with a minimum $10 purchase. ?Bring cash just in case.?

Food and drink: ?Food was enjoyable. ?It's nothing I would crave and want to come back for more. ?It was flavorful for what it was and the portion is enough to satisfy a hungry belly. ?I liked the almond milk tea and want to try some of their other items. ?

Honey Boba is located in a small business plaza and be wary of the parking. ?It tends to fill up and is cramped. ?They have a vast menu that includes iced tea, milk tea, fruit smoothies, slushies, and their "Frosted Signature Milky." Give a place a try if you're in the area.?
